Chargehand-Ductman - HVAC Duct Installation Supervisor (Saudi Arabia)

About the Role

Greenland Group seeks a skilled Chargehand-Ductman to oversee HVAC duct installation projects at their Saudi Arabian site. Preference will be given to candidates with GCC or overseas experience. This role demands leadership in coordinating duct fabrication teams and ensuring high-quality installation standards are met in line with SMACNA and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assign daily duties to duct men and helpers, offering technical guidance to address installation challenges effectively.
• Supervise the assembly, installation, and alignment of HVAC ductwork, guaranteeing adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Interpret HVAC layout drawings, shop drawings, and technical schematics accurately to direct duct placement and routing.
• Manage materials including duct sections, fittings, insulation, supports, and tools, ensuring adequate supply and proper usage.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols, ensuring use of PPE and adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, particularly during work at height or equipment operation.
• Coordinate with HVAC engineers, supervisors, and other trades to troubleshoot installation issues and maintain timelines.
• Inspect duct installations for proper alignment, airtightness, and support; assist with testing, balancing, and commissioning before project handover.

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within training institutes, overseas firms, HVAC systems, or group companies.
• Proficiency in HVAC system design, estimation, and troubleshooting.

Compensation and Location

The job is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, offering a monthly salary ranging from 55000 to 60000 Taka equivalent.
