Job description
Role overview
This is a remote consulting opportunity based in the United States, supporting a partner organization that oversees the hiring process directly. The role centers on helping mission-driven organizations manage change successfully during major technology rollouts. The work is especially relevant to environments such as higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations.
You will serve as a trusted advisor throughout transformation efforts, shaping change plans, building alignment among stakeholders, and improving adoption across the business. The position combines strategic thinking with practical delivery, including communication planning, training support, stakeholder coordination, and readiness activities. It is well suited to someone who enjoys structured change work, complex project settings, and helping people adapt to new ways of working.
What you will do
- Assess how proposed changes will affect people, processes, and teams, then create change strategies that match project goals.
- Spot likely resistance points and adoption risks early, and help reduce those issues throughout the initiative.
- Prepare and manage key change assets such as sponsor plans, communication plans, training plans, and stakeholder engagement approaches.
- Work alongside project teams so change tasks are built into overall project schedules and delivery plans.
- Guide senior leaders and people managers in building readiness, communicating effectively, and encouraging adoption.
- Create and refine training content, job aids, and other enablement materials that help end users transition smoothly.
- Monitor how well change efforts are working, measure results, and share updates on progress, risks, and outcomes.
What the employer is looking for
- At least 5 years of experience in change management, organizational transformation, or a related consulting role.
- Prior involvement in technology implementations is important; experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is especially relevant.
- Exposure to higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, or similarly mission-driven environments is strongly desired.
- A solid grasp of structured change approaches is needed; Prosci certification is preferred.
- Ability to create clear communication, training, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, including comfort presenting to a range of audiences.
- Good analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and stakeholder management skills in fast-moving settings.
- A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
Benefits and compensation
- 100% remote role available anywhere in the United States, with flexible involvement on client assignments.
- Estimated annual compensation range of USD 100,000 to USD 160,000, based on experience, skills, and expertise.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- HSA and FSA options for healthcare and dependent care needs.
- Life, disability, fertility, and family-planning support benefits.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.
- Unlimited flexible PTO plus paid federal holidays.
- Clear career development pathways with room for advancement and internal mobility.
- An inclusive, people-focused culture that emphasizes wellbeing, diversity, and professional growth.
