CFO Manager - Insurance and Life Insurance IFRS 17 Implementation

About the Role

Orcapod Consulting Services Private Limited is seeking a Manager or Assistant Manager specializing in IFRS 17 implementation within the Life and General Insurance sectors. This opportunity is available in various Indian cities including Gurgaon, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. Candidates with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience are invited to apply, with Chartered Accountants preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the implementation of IFRS 17 and Ind AS standards within insurance accounting functions.
• Manage financial reporting processes aligned to IFRS requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current practices and IFRS standards.
• Drive accounting process transformation and improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other testing procedures to validate systems and reports.
• Engage with stakeholders for smooth project execution and to align with business requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in IFRS 17 is mandatory.
• Familiarity with IFRS 16 and IFRS 9 standards.
• Strong background in insurance accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Ind AS accounting standards.
• Experience in performing gap analysis and finance transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to User Acceptance Testing and process improvements.
• Experience in the insurance industry, particularly with financial reporting and IFRS 17 implementation, is strongly preferred.
• Additional advantage for candidates with knowledge of ETL or reporting tools.

Compensation

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 INR per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
