Vetain is a Munich-based company founded in 2020. The team operates in the fast-growing supplement space and focuses on quality, transparency, and sustainability. Its goal is to build genuine alternatives to conventional food and nutritional supplements by avoiding unhealthy ingredients and helping more people adopt a healthier diet.
Role Overview
This leadership position is for someone who sees finance as a driver of growth rather than only an administrative function. The role is based in Munich and is designed for a finance leader who values clear numbers, data-driven decision-making, and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of finance, controlling, and reporting.
- Plan liquidity and cash flow with a forward-looking approach.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial steering.
- Evaluate important DTC metrics such as CAC, LTV, contribution margin, and returns.
- Oversee accounting, tax matters, and coordination with external partners.
- Design and implement finance processes and reporting structures that can scale with growth.
- Assess and use tools, data, and automation within the finance stack.
Profile and Requirements
- Several years of experience in a CFO, Head of Finance, Finance Lead, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce, DTC, and unit economics KPIs.
- Practical experience in controlling, cash flow planning, reporting, and forecasting.
- Strong interest in technology, data, and AI.
- Ability to think strategically while staying hands-on in execution.
- Confident communication skills with colleagues outside finance.
- Business-fluent German and English.
