Employment Details
This full-time position offers a day shift schedule with no night or weekend shifts required. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is available along with opportunities for loan forgiveness.
Role Purpose
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides and oversees anesthesiology services directly to hospital patients to fulfill institutional needs promptly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer various anesthetic procedures including general anesthesia for surgeries (general, pediatric, thoracic, obstetrical), intravenous sedation, intravenous regional anesthesia, regional blocks, and conductive anesthesia for patients including inpatient, outpatient surgical, and emergency cases.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations following established guidelines approved by the organization and hospital.
- Monitor patients post-surgery to detect and manage anesthesia-related complications.
- Respond swiftly to anesthesia-related emergency codes as needed based on availability.
- Deliver clinical services in line with current accepted medical standards and institutional policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the Operating Room Leadership Team, fellow anesthesia providers, and healthcare staff to ensure quality care.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Active and valid professional CRNA licensure is required.
- Preferred candidates should have at least five years of experience as a CRNA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
- Advanced certifications including ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be secured within one year of employment.
