Role overview
Belle is hiring a full-time remote Medical Assistant to support member-focused chronic care delivery. The role contributes to stronger clinical outcomes, smoother care coordination, and a better experience for members and their caregivers.
This opportunity is well suited to a compassionate Medical Assistant who is motivated by improving the health and quality of life of older adults through personalized, holistic support.
Key responsibilities
- Check Community Health Worker appointment notes for accuracy and completeness, and flag any concerns to the nurse case manager when needed.
- Assist with care coordination tasks such as arranging follow-up visits and staying in touch with members or their caregivers.
- Send patient care plans and educational resources by mail and/or email as instructed by case managers.
- Keep patient information current and accurate in the electronic health record system.
- Safeguard confidential health information and follow HIPAA requirements along with internal policies.
Experience, skills, and personality fit
- A Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential (CMA/RMA) is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical office, telehealth, or care coordination environment.
- Prior use of EHR systems is needed; experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Strong planning and organization abilities, with careful attention to detail.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-moving remote setting, with a self-driven approach.
- Experience supporting older adult populations is an advantage.
- Empathy, active listening, and practical problem-solving skills are important for success in this role.
