About the Role
Join as a Centre Manager at a thoughtfully designed, purpose-built early learning centre in Orewa, Auckland, a rapidly developing community. This role centers on leadership, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment where educators thrive, children flourish, and families feel connected. The position combines hands-on leadership with operational management, educational excellence, and active community involvement to strengthen and expand the centre's presence and enrolments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a dedicated teaching staff.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture within the centre.
- Develop meaningful relationships with families and local community members.
- Promote the centre and forge strong partnerships within the community.
- Drive enrolment growth by delivering exceptional family experiences and engagement.
- Oversee the implementation of high-quality teaching and learning programs aligned to Te Whāriki.
- Support professional growth of teachers through coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Manage day-to-day centre operations, budgets, and staff management.
- Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Education licensing requirements and relevant regulations.
- Maintain rigorous standards for health, safety, and quality practices.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and foster innovation throughout the centre.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated leadership experience in early childhood education settings.
- Current New Zealand Teaching Registration and practising certificate required.
- Deep understanding of Te Whāriki curriculum, licensing standards, and ERO expectations.
- Strong skills in people leadership, coaching, and team development.
- Experience managing centre operations, compliance, and quality enhancement programs.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with families, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Commercially aware with enthusiasm for increasing enrolments and centre promotion.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative leadership approach that empowers team members.
