Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead the launch of our upcoming early learning centre at Clear Island Waters, Queensland. Licensed to accommodate 130 children, this position offers a unique chance to build a high-performing team and establish robust operational practices while creating an exceptional educational environment from its inception.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily centre operations including staffing, enrolments, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Lead recruitment processes and support continuous professional growth of the educator team.
  • Promote delivery of high-standard education and care aligned with organisational values.
  • Develop a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive team culture.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance and accreditation standards.
  • Implement educational frameworks such as VEYLDF, and comply with NQF and NQS standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for operational and compliance purposes.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with families and local community stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture that prioritizes safety, wellbeing, and child-first practices.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in a Centre Director role within early childhood education.
  • Holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education accredited by ACECQA.
  • Strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and Child Safe Standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using Owna management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Current certifications including Working With Children Check, Police Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma management, Food Safety Supervisor, and Geccko Child Safety certificate.
