Job description

About the Company

The company is building a leading cross-border fintech platform for emerging markets, with a mission to support families, strengthen local economies, and expand access to financial services for millions of people.

Launched in 2019, the business has already reshaped international money movement across six of the seven continents, serving both large and underserved remittance routes. It has helped accelerate the move from bank-based services to mobile-first finance, bringing digital financial tools to regions that were previously left out. The next phase of growth will expand a broader set of offerings designed for diaspora communities, including local cards plus additional savings and payment features.

The company is growing quickly, supported by leading investors, and is scaling a product that combines meaningful real-world impact with fintech innovation.

Company Highlights

  • Founded by Harvard graduates and serial founders who previously built Segovia and GiveDirectly
  • Supported by prominent investors such as Spark Capital, Canaan, Reid Hoffman, Breyer Capital, Unbound, Wamda, and others
  • Built by high-performing talent from Bain, Google, McKinsey, Uber, Checkout, Bolt, and more
  • Global team of 250+ people representing 50+ nationalities and 50+ languages
  • Values are centered on ownership, impact, humility, and heart in practice, not just in principle

Role Overview

This position is for a Manager who will own Growth and Partnerships for the Central Asia and Eastern Europe corridor, with a focus on diaspora communities in major sending markets such as the UAE, EU, UK, US, Canada, and Australia.

The role covers end-to-end growth planning and delivery, including customer acquisition, partnership development, brand building, and customer insight work. The successful candidate will become the key regional expert, build credibility with diaspora audiences, run campaigns, coordinate ambassadors and influencers, and help deliver an excellent customer experience.

You will also lead business development and partnership execution across the region, from identifying and selecting opportunities through to implementation with local banks and other partners.

This is a hands-on and strategic role that combines high-level thinking with data analysis, direct customer interaction, and operational execution. It suits someone entrepreneurial, data-informed, and motivated by community impact.

Responsibilities

  • Drive regional growth initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Build trusted relationships with diaspora communities through both in-person and digital engagement.
  • Carry out recurring customer research with both senders and recipients.
  • Identify, negotiate, and develop partnerships with community associations and organizations.
  • Plan and launch offline and online advertising campaigns.
  • Find, coordinate, and support ambassadors and influencers within the community.
  • Work with agencies handling paid media, creative production, and events.
  • Oversee customer CRM activity.
  • Improve operations in collaboration with Product, Operations, Engineering, and Support teams.
  • Investigate customer pain points in depth and partner with internal teams and the Country Manager to resolve them.
  • Travel to key corridors to better understand the Central Asia diaspora and expand the customer base.
  • Spend time calling customers and replying to messages and comments on social channels.
  • Partner with the Country Manager/CEO of GCC to define the market growth plan, including strategy, monthly budget, targets, CAC, and CRM campaigns.

Requirements

  • Ideally located in Dubai or London.
  • At least 7 years of experience in fast-growing environments such as startups, marketing, or fintech.
  • Deep familiarity with, and strong networks inside, the Central Asia diaspora across the UAE, Europe, and globally, including the UK, US, Canada, and Australia.
  • Solid background in business development, sales, marketing, and analytics.
  • Prior experience with paid marketing channels.
  • Connections with Central Asian influencers and public figures would be an advantage.
  • Strong relationships with local banks and fintech companies across Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, and similar markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Genuine interest in supporting migrant communities.
  • Resourceful mindset with the ability to achieve results efficiently and do more with less.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Russian are required.

Personality Fit

  • Comfortable speaking with people and building strong relationships.
  • Action-oriented and able to move ideas into execution.
  • Mission-driven and motivated by work with positive social impact.
  • Well organized and able to stay on track in a scrappy startup setting.
  • Highly driven and able to perform in a fast-moving, target-focused environment.

Values

  • Impact first.
  • Team next.
  • Accept reality.
  • Propose solutions.
  • Win with grit.
  • Be proactively candid with yourself and others.
  • Love the particular.
  • Own it.
  • Create positive energy.
  • Maybe, even have fun.
