Role Overview
TikTok, with over one billion dedicated global users, offers an unparalleled platform to introduce a fresh and engaging shopping experience. As a hub where trends originate and meaningful connections between brands, creators, and shoppers flourish, we seek driven professionals to join our U.S. commercial team to develop a pioneering, secure, and user-friendly e-commerce ecosystem. The Category Strategy & Operations Manager will spearhead the growth of a portfolio of key enterprise partners and drive top-line revenue expansion for TikTok's U.S. Commerce business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the global e-commerce landscape by leveraging data, market insights, and business intelligence to pinpoint growth opportunities and challenges, subsequently formulating actionable operational strategies.
- Design and continually refine industry operational frameworks, including goal alignment, process oversight, strategy monitoring, resource deployment, and business review cycles, all aimed at stimulating expansion.
- Lead initiatives to enhance merchant engagement, product assortment, and content strategies thereby boosting Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), supply quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Empower industry operations teams by strengthening their capabilities in merchant growth, assortment management, and optimizing resource utilization to maximize overall business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in global e-commerce, business analytics, or sector operations; background with leading internet platforms or top-tier consulting firms is advantageous.
- Robust business insight and comprehensive understanding of global e-commerce dynamics, capable of independently executing business analysis, strategic planning, and identifying growth avenues.
- Proactive ownership mentality with a strong results orientation; adept at problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration to drive projects to successful completion.
- Quick adaptability, resilience, and ability to thrive amidst ambiguity and rapid changes.
- Structured, innovative thinking coupled with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a keen data-driven mindset.

Compensation and Benefits
Annual base salary for this role in Los Angeles ranges from $115,520 to $273,600, varying based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. The total compensation package may include discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits commence from day one and include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, disability and life insurance, wellbeing programs, and more. Employees receive 10 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 17 days of paid personal time annually (pro-rated and increasing with tenure). Benefits are subject to change.
