About the Role
Starbucks is seeking a Category Sourcing Manager in Marketing who will build strong partnerships with marketing teams to help develop sourcing strategies aligned with business goals. This leadership role involves delivering sourcing solutions that add value, leveraging deep marketing procurement expertise to lead complex projects, and fostering proactive risk management in agency and commercial relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with marketing teams to understand their strategies and needs.
- Design and implement sourcing strategies and processes that maximize value and support Starbucks' business objectives.
- Lead evaluations of agencies, media partners, and public relations vendors to ensure strategic alignment.
- Utilize market insights and problem-solving to enhance working methods, build supplier relationships, and improve outcomes.
- Manage agency and commercial risks by collaborating with stakeholders to identify challenges and achieve balanced, sustainable results.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated experience working with various agency types, media, and public relations.
- Proficient in conducting detailed agency and media evaluations.
- Strong understanding of the dynamic media environment, particularly social media growth and trends.
