Role overview

London Heathrow Marriott is seeking a casual Food & Beverage Service Expert for its Club Lounge in Hayes, England. The role is focused on creating a polished guest experience, supporting lounge service, and helping the team maintain Marriott’s hospitality standards.

What the role involves

  • Greet VIP guests, help with seating, and deliver attentive, personalised service.
  • Present menus clearly and share informed suggestions on daily specials and promotional items.
  • Take guest orders accurately and guide guests on suitable drink pairings.
  • Offer complimentary items such as drinks and make guests aware of available extras.
  • Ensure orders are prepared and delivered promptly to guest tables.
  • Handle questions and resolve concerns related to the hotel and lounge experience.
  • Set up and replenish condiment stations, working with procurement to keep supplies stocked.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to maintain a clean, hygienic, and sanitised lounge.
  • Prepare buffet areas so food and beverages are attractive, organised, and easy to access.
  • Check in continuously with guests to confirm satisfaction and respond to any additional service needs.

Safety, conduct, and workplace standards

  • Comply with all company policies, as well as safety and security procedures.
  • Escalate maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Keep uniform and personal presentation neat, clean, and professional.
  • Protect confidential and proprietary information.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
  • Build positive working relationships and collaborate to achieve shared goals.
  • Listen to others and respond constructively to concerns.
  • Meet quality expectations and maintain required standards.

Preferred background

  • A high school diploma or GED-equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service-related role is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No licence or certification is required.
