Role overview
This is a fixed-term summer role that needs a flexible schedule across the summer season. The assignment ends on 30 September 2026, and the expected working time is 12 hours per week.
The Cast Member helps create memorable guest moments in the store by sharing stories, guiding visitors toward suitable products, and delivering a service experience that feels special, friendly, and on-brand. The role also requires a strong focus on presentation, grooming standards, and protecting the integrity of the Disney brand.
What you will do
In this position, you will balance guest service, sales support, store presentation, and operational tasks to keep the store running smoothly.
- Support Disney brand standards at all times and help maintain a polished store environment.
- Keep both customer-facing and back-of-house areas tidy, organised, and ready for replenishment.
- Help deliver visual merchandising standards so the store always looks engaging and well presented.
- Make sure newly arrived products are brought onto the shop floor promptly so guests can see the latest assortment.
- Assist with stock deliveries, replenishment, markdown activity, event preparation, and stage set changes.
- Work toward financial and efficiency targets using effective guest service behaviours and sensible prioritisation.
- Welcome every guest warmly, make eye contact, and support them throughout the buying journey.
- Carry out accurate till transactions while following relevant procedures and safeguarding company assets, including cash handling.
- Build guest loyalty through strong product knowledge and consistently excellent service.
- Offer service that is friendly, quick, accurate, and attentive to guest needs.
- Ask the right questions, listen carefully, and adapt your approach to different guests and situations.
- Use creativity, language, store tools, and products to help bring stories and experiences to life.
- Take part in both planned and spontaneous guest activities, whether one-to-one or in group settings.
- Follow safety rules, loss prevention standards, health and safety procedures, and other company policies.
- Maintain Disney grooming and behaviour standards to protect brand integrity.
- Join company community initiatives, including Volunt’EARs activities and other efforts that support the wider community.
- Process deliveries quickly and accurately, and complete stock counts with care and precision.
- Carry out other tasks as required based on business needs.
Required qualifications and experience
- A genuine interest in engaging with guests of all ages.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise both guests and tasks effectively.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, although training will be provided.
- Flexibility to work different days and shifts depending on business requirements and your availability.
- Confidence in supporting store events, including both scripted and unscripted activities.
- Understanding of store sales goals and daily expectations such as talk-ups, go-with selling, and basket building.
- Ability to keep both front-of-house and back-of-house spaces clean and well organised.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt how you communicate to suit each guest.
- A professional appearance.
- Willingness to learn the product range and franchise details.
- Visual merchandising experience is helpful, though training will be provided.
- Comfort with cash handling and card/till transactions, with training provided where needed.
- Ability to carry out discount eligibility checks with honesty and integrity.

This is a temporary role with required flexibility during the summer season. The fixed end date for the agreement is 30 September 2026. The role is based onsite in London, England, United Kingdom.
