About Stokes & Associates
Stokes & Associates, Inc. is a recognized leader in vocational rehabilitation and life care planning, awarded as a Top Workplace by The Times-Picayune / New Orleans Advocate in consecutive years (2023, 2024, 2025). Our expert team specializes in handling even the most complex casework, ensuring clarity in defining roles and expectations through comprehensive pre-engagement interviews. We prioritize professional integrity, impartiality, and teamwork while providing tailored and efficient support from case inception to resolution.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Case Manager to collaborate closely with our nationally renowned vocational rehabilitation consultants and life care planners. This role is central to maintaining organization, meeting deadlines, and facilitating smooth case progress from assignment to closure. Candidates with training in either vocational rehabilitation or life care planning are encouraged, as we provide development opportunities to expand expertise across both areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned case files and schedules to ensure cases remain organized and on track.
- Communicate effectively with referral sources, monitor deadlines, and assist in workload balancing across the team.
- Prepare case materials by collecting and summarizing relevant documentation for consultant evaluations.
- Provide hands-on assistance before, during, and after evaluations following consultant guidance.
- Support vocational rehabilitation cases by aiding in case preparation and coordinating research efforts.
- Coordinate cost assessments and manage provider consultations for life care planning cases.
- Assist consultants in report production—compiling, formatting, assembling, and performing quality checks on supporting materials.
- Maintain updated case records, ensure referral sources are informed, and organize case documentation through all phases, including closeout.
- Engage in professional development activities, maintain required certifications and licenses, and participate in company meetings and business development.
Qualifications
- A master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, vocational rehabilitation, nursing, or a related discipline is typical for this position.
- Training and/or experience in vocational rehabilitation, life care planning, or both. We support cross-training and certification growth.
- Preferred certifications include CRC, CLCP, CDMS, CCM, CVE, LNCC, and CNLCP, with certification reimbursement available.
- Excellent analytical thinking, writing, and organizational skills with acute attention to detail across multiple concurrent cases.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong professional communication abilities with stakeholders including physicians, attorneys, vendors, and consultants.
Benefits and Culture
- Opportunity to work with nationally recognized experts and a supportive, award-winning workplace culture.
- Clear career progression with mentorship and the option to develop into a consultant-witness role.
- Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) employer contributions, health/dental/vision insurance, FSA/HSA, life and disability coverage, paid time off and parental leave.
- Professional development support including certification cost reimbursement.
- Hybrid work schedule after initial training period and regular team events such as seasonal celebrations.
Additional Information
This position is based in Greater New Orleans, LA, operating onsite with hybrid flexibility after training. The annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $135,000 plus commissions, commensurate with experience and certification. Stokes & Associates, Inc. is committed to equal employment opportunity.
