Role overview
This permanent, full-time Caretaker position is based in Medway and involves supporting housing properties through high-quality caretaking services. The role is field-based and includes a company van and fuel card for travel. You will work 42.5 hours per week and contribute to service delivery that meets strong standards for customer care, safety, quality, and cost control.
What you will do
- Carry out caretaking duties across housing properties to a consistently high standard.
- Make sure cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance tasks are completed within agreed processes and timeframes.
- Support planned preventive maintenance and safety compliance across blocks.
- Help schedule and track upcoming activities such as Fire Risk Assessments, seasonal works, and safety inspections at the right intervals.
- Work as part of a local team and deliver a positive service experience to residents and stakeholders.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in caretaking or cleaning, along with strong written and spoken communication skills. Good numeracy is also important. You should be comfortable following standard operating procedures and able to use a PDA after training.
Eligibility and checks
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available. Employment is subject to background, identity, and security checks before starting. If you need to drive a company vehicle, you must be over 21 years old, have held a driving licence for at least 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points on your licence.

This role pays up to £28,737.55 per year, with a stated salary of £28,737.55 per annum. Working hours are 42.5 per week.
