Position Overview
We are looking for a committed and resilient Caretaker to join our Ground Lease Model (GLM) program at our Prahran location. This permanent full-time onsite position is crucial to maintaining the safety and quality of our residential assets, ensuring residents enjoy well-maintained and inviting living spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general handyman duties including minor repairs, painting, and maintenance tasks.
- Carry out daily cleaning to keep residential areas tidy and hygienic.
- Support preventative maintenance efforts and coordinate with contractors as needed.
- Conduct routine site inspections and document any issues observed.
- Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests.
- Deliver courteous and professional customer service to a diverse resident community.
- Adhere to CHL health and safety standards ensuring safe work practices.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in caretaking, janitorial, or handyman roles is essential.
- Strong organisational skills, time management, and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to interact with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and responsibility.
- Basic IT competencies, including familiarity with property management software and email communication.
- Possession or readiness to obtain a Green/White WHS construction induction card.
- Mandatory valid Police Check, Working with Children Check, and Driver’s Licence.
- A dedication to ensuring high-quality housing as a fundamental right for all individuals.
