We are currently seeking career changers for the position of Construction Site Safety Specialist (w/m/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH with locations including Ahrensburg, Altenholz, Ascheberg (Holstein), Aumühle, Bad Bramstedt, Bad Oldesloe, Bad Schwartau, Bad Segeberg, Bargfeld-Stegen, Bargstedt, Bargteheide, Barkenholm, Barmstedt, Barsbüttel, Bönningstedt, Boostedt, Bordesholm, Brodersdorf, Burg (Dithmarschen), Ellerbek, Elmshorn, Eutin, Flintbek, Friedrichsholm, Geesthacht, Glückstadt, Großenaspe, Halstenbek, Heiligenhafen, Henstedt-Ulzburg, Hohenlockstedt, Hohenwestedt, Itzehoe, Kaltenkirchen, Kiel, and Neumünster.
Training Details
- You will learn the skills necessary for this profession over approximately one year.
- The training alternates between theoretical lessons and practical experience, allowing you to understand and immediately apply your knowledge.
- You will be supported by experienced colleagues throughout the process to facilitate your transition, even if this is a completely new field for you.
- Theoretical classes are conducted near your residence, while practical assignments typically take place in your future deployment area.

Key Responsibilities Post-Training
- Ensuring the safety of everyone on railway construction sites as a collaborative team member.
- Using a variety of signals and modern warning systems to alert railway workers of approaching trains.
- Implementing safety protocols and instructing new safety personnel.
- Maintaining smooth work procedures through effective communication with various stakeholders.
- Independently organizing and supervising safety measures on construction sites.
Candidate Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old and hold a secondary school leaving certificate.
- Prior experience is not mandatory, but you should be confident in ensuring safety and reliable in your responsibilities.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Have proficient German communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be flexible to work nights, weekends, and at varying locations.
- A driver's license (Class B) and personal vehicle are advantageous but not required.
- Applications from already qualified site safety specialists or supervisors are also encouraged.
