We are currently looking for career changers to become Construction Site Safety Specialists (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH, with locations in Altenburg, Bitterfeld, Falkenberg/Elster, Halle (Saale), Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Nordhausen, Sangerhausen, and Torgau.
Training Details
- You will progressively learn the necessary skills within approximately one year.
- The course combines theoretical lessons and practical exercises, allowing you to immediately apply what you learn.
- Experienced colleagues will mentor you, ensuring a smooth transition even for those new to the field.
- Theoretical instruction is provided close to your residence, and practical assignments generally take place in your future work area.
- From the start, you will receive a secure salary.
Main Tasks
- You will collaborate with your team to ensure nobody is harmed on our railway construction sites.
- You will warn personnel working on the tracks using various signals and advanced warning systems about approaching trains.
- Implementing safety regulations and instructing new safety personnel will be a regular part of your duties.
- You will maintain communication with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- You will independently organize and monitor safety measures at construction sites.
Candidate Profile
- You are at least 18 years old and hold a secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss).
- No prior experience is necessary, but you are confident in ensuring safety and are dependable.
- You enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- You communicate confidently in German, both spoken and written.
- You are flexible with working hours, including nights, weekends, and varying locations.
- You possess a class B driver’s license and have access to your own vehicle.
Applications from already qualified Construction Site Safety Specialists, Safety Personnel, or Safety Supervisors are also welcome.
