About IBF

The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) serves as the principal agency driving workforce competency and transformation within Singapore's financial services industry. By partnering with government bodies, industry, and educational providers, IBF aims to enhance the capabilities of financial professionals to support Singapore’s status as a leading international financial centre. Since October 2020, IBF has acted as the Jobs Development Partner for the financial services sector under the National Jobs Council.

IBF leads various initiatives to maintain workforce relevance amid evolving industry trends. This includes career conversion programmes to reskill finance professionals and cultivate new talent pipelines in emerging growth areas. Additionally, IBF offers tailored career advisory services to individuals seeking roles in the financial sector or exploring career transitions into finance. As the national agency for accreditation and certification of financial industry competencies, IBF collaborates with stakeholders to establish competency standards and elevate workforce quality based on the Skills Framework for Financial Services. Partnering with government, financial institutions, and training providers, IBF supports a dynamic learning and development ecosystem. The institute also administers key regulatory and industry examinations.
