Job description
Position Overview
We have an opening for a full-time Band 3 Cardiac Rehabilitation Assistant within the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. This role involves contributing to the delivery of cardiac rehabilitation services across multiple sites, including Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital, and the National Centre of Sports and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM) at Loughborough University, along with other community locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential patient care and conduct patient reviews under supervision of qualified health professionals.
- Work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team comprising nurses, physiotherapists, and exercise physiologists.
- Support patients throughout their recovery and rehabilitation via tailored care programs aimed at preventing hospital admissions and promoting effective self-management.
- Operate flexibly across various sites, which may require travel; a clean driving licence is preferred.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience in health and social care settings.
- Strong interest in exercise training related to health or fitness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
