Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our expanding team delivering virtual gastrointestinal (GI) care. This role entails providing evidence-based GI services through telehealth in conjunction with a clinical team including supervising physicians, dietitians, and health coaches. Your contribution is essential in ensuring exceptional, holistic digestive health solutions that lead to improved patient outcomes.

Core Responsibilities
- Perform virtual patient evaluations including history taking, symptom assessment, and guided physical exam when applicable
- Diagnose and treat GI-related disorders following established protocols
- Prescribe medications and request diagnostic testing within your licensure scope
- Create and revise personalized care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and the health team
- Refer complex or high-risk cases appropriately to supervising providers
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions in electronic health records
- Engage in team case reviews, chart audits, and professional meetings

Mandatory Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) license in the U.S., with readiness to acquire additional state licenses (costs covered by Cylinder)
- Experience managing chronic illnesses or gastrointestinal conditions such as IBS or IBD
- Capability to independently practice within scope and effectively collaborate with supervising clinicians and care teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in telehealth practice
- Possession of licenses in multiple states
- Skills in motivational interviewing or patient-centered counseling techniques
- Proficiency in bilingual communication, especially Spanish, with other languages seen as advantageous
Hiring and Onboarding Process
We are proactively hiring ahead of our clinical service expansion. New PAs will begin compensated employment while completing licensing, credentialing, and training. Cylinder finances multi-state licensure and credentialing to support operation readiness. Beginning late 2026, clinical duties will increase, transitioning into standard patient care schedules.
