Role overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Carbon Laminator in Witham, CM8 3YQ, supporting the production of premium composite parts for high-end automotive programmes. The position sits with Autoscan UK Limited, a company focused on quality assurance and inspection services for the automotive sector.

What the job involves
In this role, you will build carbon fibre composite components to exacting standards by working from engineering drawings, lay-up instructions, and technical specifications. The work includes preparing materials, cutting and laying them up accurately, and ensuring correct fibre direction and ply positioning at every stage of the process.
You will also inspect finished and in-progress parts visually, maintaining a strong focus on workmanship, precision, and continuous improvement throughout production.
Working pattern
The shift schedule is Monday to Thursday, 06:00 to 16:30.

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without any restrictions. A standard DBS check is required for this position. Visa sponsorship is not available. Requirements
- Hands-on experience in a comparable composite or laminating environment
- Ability to lay up composite materials accurately
- Ability to lay up visual components
- Confidence in reading and understanding technical engineering drawings
- Capability to work to production targets and departmental deadlines
- Commitment to keeping the workplace clean, safe, and orderly in line with 5S practices
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Methodical working style and ability to follow technical instructions precisely
- Reliable, motivated, and able to perform well under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively within a team
Benefits
The role offers pay of £16.50 per hour on a PAYE basis, family-friendly hours, free secure on-site parking, good facilities, a collaborative team environment, mileage reimbursement at £0.25 per mile, a daily living allowance of £25.00 from Monday to Wednesday, and paid accommodation.
