Job description

About the Role

H.C. Wainwright & Co., LLC is a full-service specialist investment bank focused on supporting progress in medical innovation across the Life Sciences industry. Its team brings together scientific and financial expertise to help clients design and execute corporate finance strategies that support both patients and shareholders.

This opening sits within a busy investment banking team and centers on broad coordination support for equity and equity-linked securities handled by the Investment Banking Division. The role calls for someone who is highly organized, quick on their feet, and comfortable balancing several priorities at once. It is a full-time position based in New York City.

Core Duties

  • Coordinate meetings and calls, and help build roadshow schedules.
  • Support planning for major industry conferences.
  • Arrange and lead internal conference calls to confirm that pre-closing items are completed.
  • Work with outside settlement partners to spot, investigate, and solve issues.
  • Organize and manage deal-related roadshows in both in-person and virtual formats.
  • Create daily marketing schedules by aligning travel plans, investor interest, and client availability.
  • Prepare daily agendas, investor summaries, and meeting plans promptly.
  • Set up virtual meetings when sessions are not held face-to-face and keep the internal roadshow tracking system updated.
  • Handle multiple events and deadlines in a demanding environment while supporting broader business goals.
  • Respond to information requests promptly, either directly or by routing them to the right person or team.
  • Stay productive and effective in a fast-moving work setting.
  • Work closely with teammates and adapt smoothly as priorities change.
  • Keep the team updated on project progress, status, and daily developments.
  • Interact in person with C-suite leadership teams during physical roadshows when management is in the office.

Requirements

  • This is an entry-level opportunity intended for a recent graduate or someone just starting out in the New York City market.
  • Excellent organization and coordination skills are essential, including the ability to keep others on track and working efficiently.
  • The role requires careful handling of confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Compensation

The base salary for this role is $50,000 per year.
