Capex Accounting Specialist

Role Overview

This role involves supporting the precise documentation, monitoring, capitalization, and reporting of capital expenditures (Capex) adhering to accounting standards and the company's internal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and validate invoices and related documents associated with Capex.
• Collaborate with procurement and project departments to ensure accurate allocation of costs.
• Monitor Capex on a per-project basis to identify assets ready for capitalization.
• Confirm asset capitalization entries within the ERP system comply with company policies and accounting standards such as Ind AS/IFRS.
• Assist in comparing actual Capex expenditures to budgets.
• Identify financial variances and contribute to budget versus actual expenditure reporting.
• Provide support for statutory, internal, and tax audits concerning Capex and fixed assets.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and plant teams to obtain timely updates and clarify Capex transactions.
