Role Overview

SSR Mining’s Seabee Gold Operation, located in the boreal forest about 500km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is the only active gold producing facility in the province. We are searching for a Camp Worker 3 specializing in janitorial duties to join our remote team. This role reports to the Camp Operations Supervisor and plays a key part in maintaining hygiene standards and meeting health and regulatory compliance such as SK HACCP requirements across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to assigned workload and complete cleaning tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures for the mill and mine dry change rooms, administrative buildings, other site structures, rooms, washrooms, toilets, and hallways.
• Sanitize work areas and customer-facing spaces diligently.
• Operate vacuum and laundry machinery safely and effectively.
• Collect and dispose of waste from dining areas and bedrooms.
• Perform any additional tasks delegated by the department as required.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Effective communication skills to coordinate within the team.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong safety awareness and a positive, proactive approach towards workplace safety.
• Physical capability to handle demanding duties including repetitive bending, lifting up to 50lbs, pulling, carrying, and pushing heavy loads.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant janitorial experience, with the capability to assume supervisory responsibilities when needed.
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• Experience in remote, fly-in/fly-out camp sites is advantageous but not mandatory.

Working Conditions and Schedule

This position follows a rotational schedule of two weeks working on-site followed by two weeks off. Shifts are typically 11 hours long with occasional unscheduled overtime. The workplace is remote; employees must fly in and out from designated locations such as Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
