Position Overview
We are looking to fill the role of Calculator in Railway Infrastructure at various sites including Bad Kleinen, Berlin, Essen, Freiburg im Breisgau, Halle (Saale), Hanau, or Hannover as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and verify tender documents thoroughly.
- Perform cost calculations for planning and installation services specifically within the overhead line equipment trade.
- Conduct risk assessments during bid preparation.
- Identify and manage claims potential based on tender documentation, coordinating calculator-related actions with construction or project management.
- Request subcontractor pricing in the acquisition phase.
- Collaborate closely with work preparation teams to align tender details with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support contract and price negotiation processes.
Candidate Profile
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in civil or industrial engineering or a comparable qualification; alternatively, you possess a master craftsman or technician certificate in construction trades.
- You have multiple years of professional experience as a calculator or in a similar role.
- Proficient knowledge of costing methods and systems is essential, along with familiarity with VOB, VOL, HOAI, BGB, and general terms and conditions.
- Practical experience with the iTWO calculation software is advantageous.
- Strong communication abilities, teamwork skills, and negotiation aptitude characterize your approach.
- You demonstrate dedication and resilience, including the capacity to perform well under deadline pressure.
- Willingness to travel occasionally is expected.
