Cafe Back of House Team Member

Role Overview

As an integral part of our cafe's back of house team in Stalybridge, you will be responsible for preparing delicious food, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service that customers expect. This role is varied and essential, involving food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Deliver prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene laws, keeping accurate daily records.
• Use first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to ensure food freshness.
• Receive deliveries and store food safely and appropriately.
• Follow all company operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food exactly as described in the café’s menu.
• Ensure all food products are adequately stocked and maintain quality standards.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to the Café Manager.
• Stay informed on business communications and participate in new initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
• Understanding of Health and Safety standards related to food preparation and handling.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and work efficiently in the kitchen.
• Strong teamwork skills and effective communication abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest and implement improvements.
• Organizational skills for planning workflows and maintaining order.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
