Role Overview
As an integral part of our cafe's back of house team in Stalybridge, you will be responsible for preparing delicious food, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service that customers expect. This role is varied and essential, involving food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Deliver prompt, efficient, and courteous service to customers.
- Comply with food safety and hygiene laws, keeping accurate daily records.
- Use first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to ensure food freshness.
- Receive deliveries and store food safely and appropriately.
- Follow all company operational policies and procedures.
- Prepare, cook, and serve food exactly as described in the café’s menu.
- Ensure all food products are adequately stocked and maintain quality standards.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to the Café Manager.
- Stay informed on business communications and participate in new initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
- Understanding of Health and Safety standards related to food preparation and handling.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and work efficiently in the kitchen.
- Strong teamwork skills and effective communication abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest and implement improvements.
- Organizational skills for planning workflows and maintaining order.
