Overview

The Cadet Tesla Advisor is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to support Tesla’s customer engagement efforts at events, activations, and showrooms. This role prioritizes face-to-face interaction with the public, capturing potential customer leads, organizing and conducting test drives, and contributing to a compelling first impression of the Tesla brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage visitors at pop-up events, weekends, and other Tesla activities to generate interest and collect contact details.
  • Facilitate and manage test drives, ensuring customers feel well-informed, comfortable, and safe throughout the experience.
  • Assist on delivery days by preparing vehicles and guiding customers through the delivery process.
  • Provide clear and confident answers to customer inquiries regarding Tesla’s products and ownership.
  • Collaborate with the Tesla Advisor team to maintain a consistently excellent customer experience.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound customer calls, emails, and SMS messages; listen carefully to inquiries and provide accurate information or escalate complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions using Tesla's internal tools and CRM systems.
  • Participate in Tesla’s onboarding training, regular coaching, and team updates to continually build product knowledge and improve performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong communication and proven customer service experience, preferably from retail, hospitality, call centers or similar roles.
  • Minimum availability of 18 hours per week (across at least 3 shifts), including consistent weekends and some weekdays.
  • Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of clean driving history in Australia.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed tertiary education (university, TAFE, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work across various Tesla pop-up locations and stores throughout Sydney.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills with the flexibility to tailor communication to different customers.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for technology, innovation, and Tesla’s mission.
  • Positive, composed demeanor with attention to detail and capacity to multitask effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Right to work in Australia, including student visa holders with valid work authorizations.
