Job description
Overview
This position requires a skilled cabinetmaker with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. The role involves working directly at the shop location in Duncan, British Columbia, with no remote work possibility.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize woodworking equipment including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
- Shape wood surfaces and edges manually using planes, chisels, and wood files.
- Interpret design plans, specifications, and drawings to guide cabinetmaking projects.
- Trim and assemble joints and subassemblies to construct complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
- Sand wooden pieces and apply veneers, stains, polishes, or laminated plastics to finish products.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace throughout the workday.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
