Its Accounting Advisory team works with clients on technical accounting support, financial reporting guidance, and the application of accounting standards across a wide mix of industries.

Role overview

BDO India is hiring motivated Chartered Accountants at the fresher level to join the Accounting Advisory team as Associates in Hyderabad. This position provides exposure to complex accounting matters, the chance to work with large domestic and multinational clients, and hands-on experience in financial reporting and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

  • Help clients apply and interpret Ind AS, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing financial statements along with supporting disclosures.
  • Carry out technical accounting research and prepare opinions on complex transactions.
  • Support advisory engagements related to mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and carve-outs.
  • Contribute to financial reporting tasks, accounting policy documentation, and regulatory compliance work.
  • Prepare client-facing deliverables, presentations, and engagement files.
  • Work with client teams to collect financial data and address accounting-related queries.
  • Keep track of updates in accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry practices.

Skills and competencies

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Ind AS and IFRS, along with a solid understanding of financial reporting. The role also calls for analytical thinking, careful problem-solving, clear written and verbal communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A collaborative mindset, high attention to detail, and a willingness to travel as required are also important.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with fresh qualification status.
  • Should have a strong academic record.
  • Prior articleship experience in accounting advisory, statutory audit, financial reporting, or a related area will be an advantage.
  • Applicants should be based in Hyderabad or open to relocating there.
