Job description
Overview
Connexus is hiring on behalf of a leading DIY and accessories retailer in Ireland that is expanding its buying team in Dublin. The business is looking for several organised, detail-driven Buying Coordinators to join a busy commercial environment where teamwork and accuracy are essential.
This role suits someone who enjoys structured work, solving problems, and coordinating with suppliers, internal departments, and stores to help day-to-day operations run efficiently.
Role Summary
You will support the buying function through supplier data administration, stock flow monitoring, promotional updates, and accurate handling of seasonal and core range processes. The position is well suited to someone who can manage multiple stakeholders and keep information current across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep supplier price files accurate and handle pricing queries promptly and correctly.
- Create new product listings, manage purchase orders, and help ensure stock arrives on schedule for seasonal and promotional ranges.
- Maintain up-to-date packaging, sustainability, and space-planning data in internal systems.
- Refresh promotional folders so marketing and other teams have correct information.
- Work with suppliers on orders, packaging formats, shipping arrangements, and delivery timelines.
- Support stock movement by tracking container arrivals, verifying duty rates, booking goods into systems, and allocating stock where needed.
What You Need
The ideal candidate should bring strong commercial awareness, preferably from a retail setting, along with excellent organisational ability and close attention to detail. Confidence with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is important.
You should be comfortable working independently, meeting time-sensitive deadlines, and taking a practical, solutions-focused approach when dealing with suppliers, stores, and internal teams. Experience in buying coordination, purchasing support, or administration would be an advantage.
What’s on Offer
This opportunity offers scope to learn, develop, and build a career within a large and growing retail organisation. You will also have the chance to contribute to the development of future retail ranges.
The company promotes a supportive environment with a focus on wellbeing and flexibility, alongside benefits such as colleague discounts, pension contributions, healthcare, wellness initiatives, and flexible pay cycles.
