Role Summary

This entry-level Buyers Assistant position within our Homewares and Soft Textiles categories offers a dynamic environment where you will support Category Buyers and the Merchandise team. The role demands organizational excellence, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure smooth daily operations in buying and merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with global suppliers and internal teams to provide timely updates.
  • Manage and maintain precise product data, pricing details, and imagery.
  • Oversee sample management, ensuring reviews and approvals occur within critical timeframes, as well as coordinating product photography and advertising needs across collections and SKUs.
  • Assist with promotional and advertising administrative duties.
  • Serve as a point of contact for category queries from retail stores.
  • Provide general administrative and system support to Buyers.
  • Collaborate with the broader merchandise team and other departments.

Candidate Profile

  • You exhibit energy, initiative, and a strong desire to develop a career in merchandise and buying.
  • Retail, merchandise, or product-related experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
  • Confidence in sharing ideas and openness to receiving feedback.
  • A proactive approach and can-do attitude.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, reactive work setting.
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A collaborative mindset with respect for diversity within the team.
