Job description
About Salvato Auctions
Salvato Auctions operates as an innovative auction platform for insurance total loss vehicles, connecting sellers, buyers, and towing & transport businesses through a more efficient model that benefits all parties financially. Our platform offers fresh insurance vehicles with significantly reduced fees compared to the current dominant market players, enabling buyers to run their operations without the burden of escalating costs imposed by the two major corporations commanding over $40 billion in market value combined. We are supported by venture capital firms such as Walkabout Ventures, Banter Capital, and strategic investors from the salvage vehicle recovery sector as we work to disrupt this duopoly.
Role Overview
This position concentrates on engaging with buyers in our marketplace, including automotive parts recyclers, vehicle rebuilders, and importers/exporters purchasing insurance total loss vehicles across the U.S. Your main responsibilities include facilitating smooth transactions for registered buyers, from bidding through to payment and vehicle pickup, while providing ongoing customer support to resolve inquiries and challenges throughout their engagement with Salvato Auctions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inside sales activities aimed at assisting buyers as they participate in our online auction system and complete purchases.
- Provide attentive customer support to understand buyer requirements and efficiently address any issues during their registration lifecycle.
Additional Details
- This is a hybrid role based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with occasional travel for in-person company meetings.
- You will directly report to the Head of Global Buyer Development.
- Compensation is competitive, combining salary with equity options.
Required Background and Skills
- Minimum one year of experience in inside sales or customer support within the automotive sector, with a preference for those familiar with the salvage vehicle industry including parts recycling and vehicle rebuilding.
- Comfortable with telephone-based communication, maintaining meticulous records, and managing automated follow-ups in a CRM system; experience with HubSpot is advantageous.
- Demonstrated resilience and flexibility in fast-paced, high-growth environments, able to thrive as new insurance clients and markets develop continuously.
- Ambition to advance into leadership roles as the company expands.
