Job description
Position Overview
As a Butler Service Desk Agent at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha, Qatar, you will be responsible for managing and responding to all guest inquiries and requests through multiple communication channels including telephone, email, chat, and mobile devices. Your role will include handling the telephone switchboard, arranging wake-up calls, directing calls to appropriate departments, and ensuring that guest needs are met promptly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, document, and process guest requests, questions, or concerns in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Operate the telephone switchboard, handle guest service calls and messages, and relay information to relevant departments such as Bellperson and Housekeeping.
- Follow up with guests to confirm that their requests have been fully addressed to their satisfaction.
- Provide guests with detailed information about room features, hotel amenities, and local attractions.
- Assist with processing room service orders, address menu inquiries, and accurately record transactions using the point-of-sale system.
- Support guests in accessing internet and entertainment services within their rooms.
- Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional and clean personal appearance.
- Ensure confidentiality of company information and safeguard company assets.
- Offer a warm welcome and acknowledgement to all guests, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and internal team members, employing proper etiquette in all interactions.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
- Comply with quality assurance standards and expectations.
- Perform job duties that require standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and handling light physical tasks involving objects up to 10 pounds.
- Carry out additional reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior related work or supervisory experience is necessary.
- No licenses or certifications are required.
