Service Ambassador - Food & Beverage

Position Overview

The Service Ambassador plays a crucial role in ensuring team collaboration to deliver excellent guest service. Key responsibilities include opening and closing duties such as preparing necessary supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing premises. Maintaining workplace cleanliness throughout the day by following clean-as-you-go protocols is essential. Monitoring dining rooms for guest seating, service standards, safety, and welfare is also a core task.

Operational Duties

The role involves submitting or directly communicating maintenance requests for repairs, reporting incidents involving employees, guests, or vendors promptly to management and Loss Prevention, and documenting relevant information accurately for supervisors. The ambassador assists management by supporting employee hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching while exemplifying professionalism as a role model.

Health, Safety, and Appearance

Compliance with all company safety and security policies is mandatory, including reporting injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions and completing required training. Maintaining a clean, professional uniform and appearance, protecting confidential company information, and safeguarding assets are vital.

Guest Interaction and Communication

Welcoming guests warmly in line with company standards, anticipating and responding to their service needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing sincere appreciation to guests are key interpersonal duties. Communication must be clear and professional, supporting teamwork, resolving concerns empathetically, and fostering positive workplace relationships to achieve shared objectives.

Physical and Visual Requirements

The role demands standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, occasional lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds without assistance, maneuvering in confined spaces, stair climbing, and reaching overhead or below knees with bending and twisting motions. Visual inspection of tools and reading information in small print are integral.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
