Butler – Luxury Private Family

Role Overview

A private luxury family in Dubai is seeking an experienced, polished, and service-focused Butler to support daily household service and guest care. The right person will have prior exposure to private families, VIP residences, royal households, luxury villas, or five-star hospitality settings.

This position is centered on delivering refined personal service, maintaining impeccable standards throughout the residence, and helping the household run smoothly, discreetly, and with professionalism.

Core Duties

• Deliver tailored, high-quality service to family members and visitors.
• Greet and look after guests with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
• Serve food and drinks in line with luxury hospitality expectations.
• Arrange dining tables for everyday meals, formal dinners, private functions, and special events.
• Work with the Chef on meal schedules, service needs, and guest preferences.
• Keep dining spaces, service areas, the pantry, and guest-facing areas clean, organized, and well presented.
• Support wardrobe upkeep, packing, unpacking, and placement of personal belongings when needed.
• Prepare rooms and guest spaces ahead of family or guest arrivals.
• Manage tea, coffee, refreshments, and beverage service according to family preferences.
• Assist with private events, dinners, and family occasions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, drivers, and other staff to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently.
• Track service-related supplies, pantry stock, and guest-facing household items.
• Ensure glassware, crockery, cutlery, silverware, and other service items are cleaned, polished, and stored properly.
• Respect household routines, personal preferences, cultural expectations, and privacy standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have a background as a Butler, Senior Butler, Head Waiter, Guest Service Executive, F&B Service Supervisor, or in a similar hospitality role. Experience in private households, luxury villas, royal homes, five-star hotels, fine dining restaurants, or other high-end hospitality environments is strongly preferred.

The role calls for strong knowledge of luxury service etiquette, table presentation, beverage and food service, and guest handling. The ideal candidate will present well, communicate clearly in English, and ideally have Arabic as an added advantage.

Applicants must be comfortable working in a private family setting, remain calm and courteous under pressure, and be willing to adapt to changing working hours based on family needs, guests, and events. They should also be dependable team players who can follow direction from the House Manager or family representative.

Preferred Background

• Formal butler training or a hospitality-related certification.
• Experience in luxury hotels, private residences, royal households, or ultra-high-net-worth family environments.
• Practical understanding of beverages, fine dining service, table layout, and guest protocol.
• Prior exposure to private household work in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage.
