Job Summary

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a 6-month contract position with a client in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role focuses on the end-to-end requirements lifecycle for a North American RFID implementation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete requirements process for a North American RFID implementation.
• Ensure traceability between business needs, functional specifications, and technical solutions.
• Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering and QA teams.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of requirements, including edge cases and failure scenarios.
• Document comprehensive end-to-end workflows for receiving, cycle counting, replenishment, and inventory reconciliation.
• Create system and data flow diagrams illustrating integrations between POS, RFID platforms, middleware, and other systems.
• Define data mapping and message schemas for RFID-related integrations.
• Independently facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and initiate necessary workshops, reviews, and design sessions.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and secure sign-offs to facilitate project progress.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery execution.
• Ensure requirements are ready for development and testing before sprint commitment.
• Provide support to the QA team through clear documentation, test scenarios, and acceptance validation.
• Identify and manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID).
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to escalate and resolve blockers promptly.
• Facilitate product demonstrations and walkthroughs for business stakeholders and field teams.
• Ensure solutions are operationally sound and align with actual store workflows.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in Confluence, upholding high standards of quality and consistency.
• Ensure high-quality Jira hygiene.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within complex, multi-system environments, preferably in retail or supply chain.
• Demonstrated experience with large-scale system implementations, such as RFID, POS, or inventory systems.
• Proficiency in process modeling, system integration, and data mapping.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and foster alignment among cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing ambiguity and structuring complex projects.
• Proficient in using Jira and Confluence, with a strong commitment to documentation standards.
• Experience facilitating workshops for both business and technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Ability to translate store operations workflows into clear system requirements.

This is a 6-month contract position located onsite in Vancouver, British Columbia.
