Overview

Future Solar Technology is seeking an entry-level IT Support Specialist for a full-time remote role based in Australia. This position is suited to a self-driven, service-oriented person who wants to begin a career in information technology while helping employees resolve everyday technical issues.

What you will do

In this role, you will provide remote support to users and help keep day-to-day IT operations running efficiently across the organization.

Handle support queries received through email, chat, phone, and ticketing platforms.
Troubleshoot and fix problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Help users with account access issues, password resets, and system setup or configuration.
Assist with software installation, device onboarding, and routine maintenance activities.
Record incidents clearly and document the steps taken to resolve them.
Escalate more complex technical matters to senior IT personnel when needed.
Contribute ideas and support efforts to improve the IT support process and overall user experience.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and everyday productivity software. Experience with Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, remote desktop support tools, and foundational networking concepts will be helpful. Strong communication skills, a problem-solving approach, and a genuine customer-first attitude are important. Prior exposure to IT support, help desk work, customer service, or technical troubleshooting is an advantage, though not mandatory.
