Role Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Business Research Analyst / Investment Research Assistant to enhance our business strategy and investment decisions through in-depth research, financial analysis, and market intelligence gathering. This position requires collecting and evaluating comprehensive business, financial, and industrial data, generating detailed research reports, tracking market trends, and delivering actionable insights to back strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is curious, data-oriented, and enthusiastic about research, financial markets, and business analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out primary and secondary research on various industries, companies, markets, and economic developments.
- Collect, organize, verify, and analyze both qualitative and quantitative financial and business data.
- Keep track of financial markets, investment prospects, industry trends, and competitors' activities.
- Evaluate company performance, review financial statements, understand business models, and assess market positioning.
- Help prepare investment research documents, business analyses, presentations, and executive summaries.
- Support tasks involving financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, and constructing business cases.
- Conduct market sizing, competitive benchmarking, SWOT analyses, and detect emerging trends.
- Manage research databases, financial records, and related analytical documentation.
- Design charts, dashboards, and data visualizations to effectively present research findings.
- Collaborate with finance, investment, strategy, and business units on research projects.
- Assist with due diligence processes, strategic planning, and investment evaluation efforts.
- Identify business opportunities, risks in the market, and growth potential through analytical research.
- Ensure data and reports maintain accuracy, coherence, and confidentiality.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements by refining research methods and reporting procedures.
- Stay updated on global economic changes, capital markets, and new industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
- Solid grasp of business analysis, investment research, financial markets, and corporate finance fundamentals.
- Experience with financial statement interpretation, valuation approaches, financial modeling, and market research methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and tools for financial analysis or reporting.
- Knowledge of business intelligence platforms, financial databases, or visualization tools is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking capabilities.
- Excellent research, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial and business information and present findings clearly.
