Overview

Join our Air Mobility Business Development division's Contract and Business Planning Group to spearhead the business strategy and sales contract operations related to flying cars (eVTOL/electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft). This role involves close collaboration with sales and business development teams to drive business advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop business plans and execute business development activities within the air mobility (flying car) sector.
  • Design innovative sales models and business schemes, leading their implementation into viable projects.
  • Engage from the initial phases in negotiations with domestic and international customers and partners to shape conditions conducive to successful business outcomes.
  • Lead negotiation on various contract terms including pricing, delivery schedules, after-sales services, and warranty provisions, and facilitate contract finalization.
  • Manage contract execution post-signing, including supervising contract fulfillment and handling amendments or renewals as necessary.

Additional Notes

  • This position belongs to the business development team and is dedicated to planning and advancing contracts for an innovative product in flying cars.
  • Although collaborating with the legal department, this role independently drives business decisions from a commercial perspective.
  • Working alongside business development staff, this role prioritizes the optimal design of business terms encompassing pricing, timelines, and service details, and leads customer negotiations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least three years of hands-on experience managing negotiations through contract closure within sales or business development in the manufacturing sector, or
  • Minimum three years of experience in business planning within manufacturing industry.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with industry-specific contracts such as aircraft sales, leasing, maintenance, or parts supply agreements in the aviation field.
  • Track record handling complex B2B contract negotiations and project management involving overseas customers in aviation or large machinery sectors.
  • Legal expertise through roles in corporate legal departments, law firms, or similar environments with comprehensive contract knowledge.
  • Project management proficiency.
  • Advanced negotiation and communication skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in English.

Employment Terms

Work Locations

  • Tokyo Office (3F Hirakawacho Front Building, 1-3-13 Hirakawacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) - non-smoking workplace.
  • Prefectural Nagoya Airport Terminal Building (Toyoyama Town, Aichi Prefecture) - designated smoking rooms available.
  • Osaka Office (8F Osaka Ekimae Dai-ichi Bldg, 1-3-1 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka) - non-smoking workplace.
  • Initial placement determined according to preferences.
  • Remote work will generally be applicable if assigned to Tokyo or Osaka offices.
  • Business trips will be required as needed.
  • Work location subject to company-defined areas, including telework sites.

Working Hours

  • Flexible work schedule with 8-hour workdays and no core time.
  • Standard hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a 60-minute break.
  • Overtime work is applicable.

Holidays and Leave

  • 115 annual holidays including weekends, year-end/new year, and company-designated days.
  • Paid leave allocated according to the joining month and company policies.
  • Refresh leave granted on 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th years of service.

Compensation

  • Estimated annual income between 8,000,000 and 13,000,000 JPY.
  • Monthly salary range: 667,000 to 1,084,000 JPY.
  • Includes fixed overtime pay based on 45 hours amounting to 230,950 to 375,239 JPY.
  • Additional payment provided for overtime exceeding fixed hours.
  • Final compensation determined by skills, experience, and abilities.
