Business Planning Analyst - Shopee International Platform (Operations)

Job Role Overview

As a Business Planning Analyst for Shopee's International Platform Operations, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing operational performance to ensure smooth daily functions. Your duties will include tracking key metrics such as cancellation rates and return/refund proportions, leveraging data to resolve operational challenges, and leading initiatives end-to-end from conception through execution and evaluation.

Key Duties

• Independently track and review important operational metrics such as cancellation rates and return & refund rates to maintain seamless day-to-day operations.
• Analyze complex datasets using data-driven models to understand and address various operational hurdles.
• Take full ownership of operations projects including initial kickoff, defining objectives, managing execution, coordinating across teams, and delivering final reviews.
• Work closely with both local and regional teams to resolve daily operational issues and introduce new initiatives aimed at cost reduction and process optimization.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business or a scientific discipline is required; a master's degree is considered beneficial but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in e-commerce, retail purchasing, or business analytics will be an advantage.
• Strong ability to interpret data and create insightful analyses that support business decisions and objectives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
• Knowledge of SQL is an added benefit.
