About the team
The Cross Border Business Planning team serves as the strategic centre for Shopee’s cross-border commerce across Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Latin America. The group works at the meeting point of commercial planning and data analysis, linking revenue, expense and market movement insights to guide business growth. This role offers exposure to how a large multi-market e-commerce operation is run and the opportunity to translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
What you will do
- Analyse revenue, cost, margin and overall business performance in depth to uncover key drivers and improvement opportunities.
- Study industry shifts, market behaviour and consumer trends to support planning decisions.
- Partner with teams across functions to build and sharpen commercial strategies.
- Support the creation of business plans, including revenue outlooks and cost estimates.
- Use data to recommend improvements to pricing, product mix and marketing approach.
- Share findings and recommendations with senior leaders and other stakeholders.
- Develop concise reports and presentation materials that turn analysis into clear business insight.
- Monitor how recommended actions are implemented and assess their impact.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual performance updates for management.
- Provide commentary on business and P&L outcomes, highlighting major trends and underlying drivers.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required; a master’s degree is a plus but not mandatory.
- At least 2 years of experience in strategy, business planning, or financial planning and analysis, ideally in e-commerce, consulting, or a related sector.
- Strong analytical ability, quick learning mindset, and solid problem-solving skills with the capacity to turn complex information into practical actions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to different stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work to demanding deadlines.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
