Job description

Role overview

Cisco’s Strategic Programs team, part of Growth Operations, is responsible for driving initiatives that improve operating discipline and support business expansion at scale. The group works on initiatives such as unified recurring revenue measurement, partner growth metrics, validation and automation efforts, and policy-related programs. By partnering with business and technology stakeholders, the team looks for opportunities to simplify workflows, increase automation, and strengthen operational performance.

In this role, you will work where strategy, operations, and technology meet. As a Business Operations Analyst, you will support recurring revenue metric programs and validation work while helping improve efficiency through automation and process redesign. You will collaborate with stakeholders across business, data, and technology teams to shape validation approaches, execute test plans, and keep deliverables aligned with program and product goals.

What you will do

  • Create and roll out automation approaches that minimize manual work in testing and validation activities.
  • Build test approaches, draft detailed test cases, capture outcomes, and prepare consolidated test reports.
  • Plan and coordinate Business Acceptance Testing activities and work with cross-functional stakeholders to confirm validation readiness.
  • Review recurring revenue metrics, partner incentive data, and other operational information to support strategic program work.
  • Work with partners in meetings, stand-ups, and feedback sessions to keep everyone aligned on objectives and product direction.
  • Help identify and resolve difficult operational issues that affect delivery and business outcomes.
  • Assess current workflows, pinpoint gaps, and recommend technology-led improvements that increase efficiency and scalability.

What we are looking for

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Customer Experience, IT, Data, Operations, Consulting, or a related business discipline, plus a bachelor’s degree in a technical area or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Background working with software or SaaS business models.
  • Practical experience with testing, validation workflows, or Business Acceptance Testing.
  • Ability to develop business cases and analytical models that support decisions.
  • Experience examining operational processes and improving them through automation or other technology solutions.

Preferred strengths

  • Familiarity with Cisco’s business processes, tools, policies, and data movement across systems.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams in both business and technical settings.
  • Strong presentation and executive communication skills, with the ability to tell a clear story with data.
  • Skill in simplifying complex problems and turning them into structured solutions.
  • Track record of reducing manual effort through redesign or automation with measurable impact.

Compensation and benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $92,000 to $123,800 for new hires in the U.S. and/or Canada, excluding incentives, equity, and benefits. Final pay depends on location, market conditions, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and training. A broader location-based salary range may be discussed during the hiring process if needed.

U.S. employees may be eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company matching, paid parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may also qualify for restricted stock unit grants, subject to continued employment and vesting requirements.

Paid time away may include 10 public holidays per calendar year plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees, 1 paid birthday day off, year-end holiday shutdown time, 4 wellness days, vacation time based on employee classification, 80 hours of sick leave each year, carryover of unused sick leave up to 80 hours, additional leave for family emergencies, and up to 10 paid volunteer days per year.

For non-sales roles, annual bonuses may be available under Cisco’s policies. The posting also notes that Illinois employees participate in a separate time-off program to meet local requirements.

Additional information

The application deadline is expected to be 07/06/2026. The posting may be taken down earlier if the role is filled or if enough applications are received.

Cisco describes itself as a company that builds technology connecting and protecting organizations in the AI era and beyond, with a long history of innovation and global collaboration.

State-specific compensation notes

For certain locations, the full salary ranges listed are: New York City Metro Area, $114,400 to $171,300; and Non-Metro New York State and Washington State, $100,200 to $153,200. For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, those ranges combine base pay and sales target incentive compensation.

Sales incentive information

For employees on sales plans, incentive pay is performance-based and layered on top of base salary. Cisco states that quota-based incentive pay is typically calculated as 0.75% of target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota, 1.5% for each 1% between 50% and 75%, 1% for each 1% between 75% and 100%, and at or above 1% for each 1% beyond 100% attainment with no cap. For non-quota sales performance elements such as strategic objectives, payout may range from 0% to 125% of target, with no minimum performance threshold for sales incentive compensation.
