Job description

Position Overview

Join TD Insurance's Data, Analysis, and Insight (DAI) team in Toronto, Ontario, and contribute as a Business Insights Analyst within the Claims Insights group. This team partners closely with senior and operational stakeholders—including Claims Operations, Pricing, Actuarial, Product, and Vendor Management—to deliver actionable analytics and insights on claims data that guide strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and advance analytic tools and methodologies to generate impactful insights.
  • Identify issues, emerging patterns, and opportunities through data analysis proactively.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of claims outcomes and present findings clearly.
  • Ensure timely preparation and communication of routine reports on claims frequency, severity, and expenses to diverse internal audiences including executives.
  • Manage complete analysis processes from initial requirements gathering through to presentation and delivery.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating effective communication and partnership skills.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least two years of work experience relevant to this role.
  • Experience in General Insurance is necessary.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with attention to detail and high-quality work standards.
  • Innovative mindset to enhance work processes and output efficiency.
  • Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is between 66,800 CAD and 94,300 CAD annually, subject to candidate experience, skills, and geographic factors.
