Business Finance - FP&A

About the Role

This position sits within business finance and financial planning & analysis, supporting leadership with insight-driven decision-making, commercial evaluation, and profitability improvement. The role is based in Hyderabad and requires close partnership with operational and delivery teams to strengthen financial performance and control.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside business leaders to turn financial data into practical insights that inform strategic choices.
• Own the annual planning cycle, rolling forecasts, and longer-term financial projections.
• Carry out detailed variance reviews and build bridge analyses to explain movements versus budget, forecast, and previous periods.
• Partner with business unit heads to interpret performance trends, identify key business drivers, and recommend corrective actions.
• Handle pricing studies, commercial assessments, and profitability evaluations for deals, renewals, and pricing discussions.
• Track billing and unbilled revenue, while ensuring revenue recognition rules are followed.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the profit and loss statement and drive improvements in margin, profitability, and operating efficiency.
• Work with large, complex datasets to produce insights that support management and stakeholder decisions.
• Spot opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve processes by collaborating with IT and other teams.
• Manage finance activities across multiple currencies and evaluate the effect of foreign exchange movements on performance.
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, leadership decks, and business review packs.
• Guide, coach, and manage finance team members to ensure effective execution of business finance work.
• Serve as a dependable finance partner to delivery and operations teams on revenue growth, cost control, and margin enhancement initiatives.

Requirements

• Solid background in FP&A, business finance, or commercial finance.
• Good understanding of accounting basics, financial planning, forecasting, and business partnering.
• Strong capability in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Well-developed analytical ability, problem-solving approach, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in pricing, deal evaluation, profitability analysis, and revenue management.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving and changing business environment.
• Demonstrated experience in process automation and finance transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to international, multi-currency finance operations.
• Prior experience in IT services, global capability centers, KPO, BPO, or export-focused service organizations is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
