Job description
About the role
Google’s Business Finance team is looking for a Finance Analyst to support the APAC Central Intelligence and Analytics group in Singapore. This role sits within the Ads business finance function and focuses on turning financial and business data into clear insights that help leaders make better decisions. The work centers on the upper-funnel marketing objectives area of the full-funnel ads business, with a mix of proactive analysis and reactive performance support.
You will be part of a team that helps keep finance processes running smoothly while delivering analysis, opportunities, and recommendations that support the wider business. The position involves handling multiple priorities at once, building strong reporting routines, and contributing to planning and control improvements.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a similar function, or an advanced degree.
- Proven experience running end-to-end FP&A work such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling in a multinational environment.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, SQL, and data analysis.
Preferred qualifications
- Understanding of advertisers’ marketing goals.
- Exposure to Display or Video Ads businesses.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and take initiative in less structured settings.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence executive stakeholders with clear and credible messaging.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain a regular reporting rhythm that highlights trends and changes in the performance of the full-funnel ads business.
- Own the agenda for solving business performance issues and turning analysis into action.
- Build deeper technical capability to broaden what the team can do.
- Run analyses using tools and methods such as R, SQL, and Tableau.
- Build forecasts for business performance across future quarters and years to guide investment decisions.
