Business Development Specialist, Charging Infrastructure

Overview

Lead the end-to-end development and operational execution of Tesla's charging infrastructure sites within your assigned territory. This role focuses on selecting optimal locations for Tesla charging products to maximize customer convenience and satisfaction. You will manage all stages from site identification, contract negotiation, feasibility assessments to seamless handoff for installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective sites aligned with market needs and future EV demand.
• Build and nurture partnerships internally across departments and externally with stakeholders involved in site deployment.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential sites including utility and permitting feasibility.
• Facilitate approvals from regulatory bodies and utility companies.
• Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate and finalize site host agreements.
• Coordinate closely with design and installation teams to manage project costs and delivery timelines effectively.
• Provide accurate milestone forecasts and maintain comprehensive documentation through development phases.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced negotiator skilled in contracts, real estate, utility management, and EV infrastructure policies particularly local permitting processes.
• Exceptional organizational skills capable of simultaneously managing over 20 active projects.
• Highly autonomous with a proactive, driven approach to completing tasks and achieving objectives.
• Business acumen to understand and align Tesla charging integration with host business goals.
• Excellent communication skills to engage various stakeholders including top executives, planners, and facility managers effectively.
• Strong risk management mindset to anticipate and mitigate issues ahead of impacting timelines.
