Role overview

As a Business Development Representative, you will be part of the ANZ sales organisation and work closely with Account Executives as you grow your career through Aircall’s Sales Career Track. This is a high-energy entry point into SaaS sales, where you will learn how to prospect, qualify leads, and progress toward an outbound closing path over time.

You will be based in the Sydney CBD office on O’Connell Street and follow a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Source and develop new qualified opportunities using cold calls, email outreach, networking, and Salesforce-based workflows.
  • Design and run outbound campaigns to secure demos and meetings with relevant prospects.
  • Research target accounts, identify the right contacts, and collect useful lead details through open questions and discovery conversations.
  • Learn the prospect’s business, current needs, and buying journey while building early-stage relationships.
  • Partner with Account Executives and the wider sales team to move opportunities through the pipeline faster.
  • Represent Aircall professionally and with integrity in all verbal and written communication, while clearly presenting the product’s value and key differentiators.
  • Use Salesforce and other sales tools to manage daily activity and maintain a strong process.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in outbound sales.
  • Background in technology or a SaaS startup/scale-up environment is a strong advantage.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong desire to learn, improve, and contribute to shared success.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning ability, organisation, and time management.
  • Clear, direct communication style with confidence in asking questions and strong spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and own outcomes.
  • Resilient, resourceful, confident, and comfortable working in a challenging environment.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Coachable, solution-focused, and able to bring practical ideas to the table.
