Job description

About Wayflyer

Wayflyer addresses the urgent need of small businesses for fast, flexible capital by leveraging technology to assess businesses rapidly, deliver tailored financing proposals, and provide funding within 24 hours. Supported by top-tier institutions like J.P. Morgan, Wayflyer has financed thousands of businesses globally with over $6 billion deployed. The company operates offices internationally, including Dublin, London, New York, Charlotte, Berlin, and Sydney.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role as the initial point of contact for many founders discovering Wayflyer. Your responsibility is to conduct intelligent outreach, engage in meaningful discussions, and connect suitable businesses with our Account Executives. This involves qualifying funding requirements, establishing authentic relationships, and demonstrating curiosity, hustle, and precision in your approach.

Career Progression

This position serves as a stepping stone, with most Business Development Representatives advancing to Account Executive or Customer Success roles within about 12 to 18 months. Through the Revenue Academy, a structured learning path, you will develop skillsets, commercial understanding, and deal experience essential for future roles. Management actively supports your professional growth, offering more than routine oversight.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate thrives in goal-oriented environments, views setbacks as opportunities to improve, and proactively identifies challenges beyond their immediate duties. While sales experience is valuable, we prioritize ambition, commercial acuity, and enthusiasm for the role. English fluency is required; startup experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Location and Working Arrangement

This role is based at Wayflyer's Dublin headquarters with a hybrid work model requiring 3 to 4 days per week onsite.

Benefits and Perks

  • 25 vacation days annually plus public holidays
  • Private healthcare coverage
  • Life insurance
  • Pension plan participation
  • Equity opportunities in the company
  • Generous parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers
  • 60 days yearly allowance to work remotely from any location worldwide
