Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will focus on strategic business growth activities including market research, relationship cultivation, and development of go-to-market strategies specifically for the Plant Software product line. This position reports directly to the Plant Growth Manager.
Primary Duties
- Perform thorough market analysis to identify and evaluate new market opportunities and craft effective market entry strategies.
- Collaborate with the Growth Manager to plan and execute growth initiatives.
- Source high-quality sales leads, nurture business opportunities, and hand over prospects to the sales team for conversion.
- Monitor industry developments and competitor strategies to stay ahead in the market.
- Adjust approaches based on evolving market conditions and organizational goals.
- Advise product teams with insights from customer feedback and market trends.
- Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans covering pricing, positioning, and promotional activities.
- Partner with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement growth strategies.
- Leverage cross-business relationships to expand into new markets.
- Support the Growth Manager in rapid decision-making related to business development activities.

- Capability to collaborate with marketing teams on robust go-to-market strategies.
- Experience in pre-sales activities including demonstration support.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced growth environment.
- Excellent organizational skills managing multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of technical and regulatory frameworks in the industry.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
